Fundraising for the Youth Worker steering group

Encounter has been invited to have a representative on the Fundraising for the Youth Worker steering group. The aim of the group is to raise money pledged by the PCC to support the youth worker. The first meeting was held at the beginning of October and the next one will probably be at the beginning of November to finalise the details of the recipe book and late night shopping event. In general most communication will be via email, so not a lot of cttee meetings.

Some of the planning has been done, but generally the roles of team members are to do the planning, guiding and steering and then to promote the fundraising ideas in their own congregations and encourage them to take part.

It is obviously really important that we have somebody to take on this role - all the other congregations are to be represented; if anyone is interested please could they let Sue Morton know (marksuemorton@googlemail.com).
