Many of you know that Clem Virgo is retiring in September this year after 45 years of unstinting service to the church and the community in Marlow and beyond.
Clem intends that the services on Sunday 26th September 2010 will be his last as Director of Music. The men will join the mixed voice choir at the morning Sung Eucharist and also sing with the boys and girls choir at Choral Evensong.
Clearly this occasion should be marked in an appropriate manner, therefore we would like to invite you to attend Evensong and to refreshments in the Church Hall after the service. The current choir members will act as ‘hosts’ for this occasion.
In order that we can organise the catering, please can you let Mavis Simpson know by Sept 12th if you can attend this event.
It is not really practicable to ask everyone to sign a card, but if you would like to send Clem a message we propose to gather any that we receive into a booklet. Please let us have any greetings, preferably by email, by 13 September to jeremy@rowefamily.me.uk
